The Hamilton All Star Jazz Band is a 20 piece jazz orchestra for 5 saxes, 5 trombones, 5 trumpets, guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocalist. We rehearse weekly from September to June with lots of performance opportunities and opportunities to travel. We have our own rehearsal space with sound systems and electronics supplied.

There are actually three bands that make up the organization. The Hamilton Junior Jazz Band is a band for 12-15 year olds with one, two or three years of experience(grade 7,8, or 9). The Hamilton Rising Stars Jazz Band is for high school musicians 15 to 19 years old. The Hamilton All Star Jazz Band is for 16 to 24 year olds in university, college, high school or beyond.
