The Browser Wars II

In other news, I've decided I need to acquire a somewhat powerfull system(500mhz+ 256MB+ ram) on which to install a crack of Windows Server 2003(doing it legit is prohibitively expensive), to do what I could do on a 486 with freeBSD or Linux. Why? Because the world uses windows.

Internet Explorer - Always a thorn in your side

I hereby declare my long standing, and fervent hatred of Internet Explorer. I always have to waste time making sure a page that looks right in every other browser looks right in IE, because more often than not, a page that looks right in every other browser, won't in IE. Unfortunately no one has any choice but acquiesce to its scorn for web standards.

This should not be so. Internet Explorer is not nearly the best browser there is, and Microsoft is not trying very hard to make it so. And why should they? They put a terrible browser in our hands, and most people swallow it rather than grab any of the better alternatives. Why should we bow down to an inferior browser? We shouldn't! There are alternatives, and each and every one of them is far better than IE. So go get Firefox, or Mozilla, or Safari, or Opera, or Netscape.

On simulated meat and plastic cheese

I ate at Taco Bell once, a long time ago. Of the visit I remember very little, but I do remember that I made a decision. I decided that I would never again set foot inside a taco bell, and I haven't since.
