J-Soft BlogMonday, November 25, 2002Care of: Nov 18, 2002 As I made my way from linear algebra I happened to hear a short snippet of a conversation as it passed me by. All I heard was: "...an unstoppable object collides with an immovable object. what happens?". After thinking about it for a few moments a smile came over my face. I just found the thought of an unstoppable object colliding with an immovable object ammusing. Just what happens at the moment when they collide? In a collision something has to give, but in this its clear that nothing is going to give. So what happens? Well, for one thing, I chuckle. Maybe the universe explodes, or reality freezes, or both objects cease to exist, or the observer of such an event explodes, or freezes or ceases to exist. And I grin at the thought of such possibilities. I continue contemplating this cunundrum as I make my way through the student centre to Togo Salmon Hall. I continue walking, not particullarly aware of my surroundings, as I continue to dwell on this amusing stream of thoughts. I am quickly drawn back out, as my ears recognize the sound of my name being called. I quickly locate the source. Why, it's Simon. "Hey, good to see you!", I think. "Hey!", I say. posted by Jesse at 12:08 AM # |
